Klaus Seliger (born 1962), an artist who lives and works in Bielefeld and Warendorf, has been working as a freelance wood sculptor since 2003, following a degree in Visual Communication at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, an apprenticeship as a joiner, and a studio course at the Academy of Design in Münster. He first made a name for himself with his furniture sculptures; today he creates sculptures that depict animals – particularly crows and hares – with heart, wit, intelligence and extraordinary artistic skill. Since 2019, he has had his studio at the Milter Mühle in Warendorf-Milte, where we visited him in October 2021.
