Geometrically struc­tu­red forms, defi­ned by deli­ca­te, floa­ting lines, influence our per­cep­ti­on of space and cent­re, of atmo­sphe­re and balan­ce in Heiko Börner’s instal­la­ti­ons. With every step, it seems, the appearance of the art­work chan­ges. The over­lap­ping and clus­te­ring of lines into net­works give rise to new ten­si­ons and lay­ers of mea­ning. Heiko Börner also appli­es this prin­ci­ple in his woo­den sculp­tures.

Heiko Börner (born in Arnstadt in 1973) stu­di­ed sculp­tu­re at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He lives and works in Munich.
